i think people have the wrong idea about bolin lol
like its sort of nice to analyze his actions and decisions and conclude that it’s because he’s consciously chilvalrous and respectful and a ‘feminist’ and a ‘great guy’ and all these other complex terms that trigger a very specific respect and admiration from fans
but like you gotta understand

he’s just a simple kid who doesn’t really know what he’s doing and that’s ok
and it’s fine that his assumed mindset and resulting actions lead people to believe he is savvy about that sort of thing, like he actually does know what he’s doing, and knows how to construct and handle a healthy relationship

sort of not it at all lol he’s just falling ass-down into feelings and just does what he wants to do and since he is a cool nice fun guy well his actions come off as cool and fun and nice!! that’s all, really, and there’s not a lot of thought behind it and that’s comforting to me i like that
if relationships were like that all the time, if two people would just not think and do whatever they want and end up happy that would be cool bolin is a rolemodel but i think for different reasons and if relationships were just chill like that in real life i would be a lot less scared of em
